Motorized Curtain Tracks
Motorized curtain tracks for wide windows and sliding doors.
A motorized curtain track glides drapery open and closed at the touch of a button. It is a strong solution for wide spans, sliding-door walls, and tall windows where hand-drawn panels are a chore. RomRollShade helps measure, plan, install, and program the system.

The basics
Built to move drapery, quietly.
A motorized curtain track is a slim, ceiling- or wall-mounted rail with a quiet motor and carriers that pull drapery along it. Your fabric panels hang from the track and glide open or closed on a remote, an app, or a schedule.
It shines where drapery is wide, heavy, or high. Across a sliding-door wall or a two-story window, a track does the pulling so the fabric moves evenly every time, with no tugging on a leading edge.
Where it works best
Made for the windows that are hard to reach.
A motorized track earns its place wherever drapery is too wide, too high, or too often used to draw by hand.
Sliding-door walls
Cover a wide patio or sliding-door opening with one smooth motion. No reaching past furniture or wrestling a long panel by hand
Tall & high windows
Reach drapery on stairwell and two-story windows that are unsafe to draw by hand. The track handles the height for you.
Primary bedrooms
Open the room to morning light and close it for privacy at night on a schedule, without getting out of bed. Pairs well with room-darkening drapery.
Why a motorized track
What a motorized track does well.
Effortless on wide spans
Room-darkening fabric blocks most of the light at the window, for a much darker room than a standard shade gives you.
Quiet, even movement
Darker bedrooms and nurseries help people fall asleep faster and sleep through bright mornings, with strong nighttime privacy too.
Routines & schedules
A dense fabric can also help cut heat and glare on bright Southern California exposures, which many homes find more comfortable.
Clean, cordless look
Cordless and motorized options remove hanging cords, a safer choice for homes with kids and pets.
Track and drapery styles
Track style follows the look you want.
The track can carry tailored pleats or soft, uniform waves. We help you match the heading style to the room and the opening.
Ripple-fold drapery
- Soft, uniform S-shaped waves with a modern feel
- Stacks back tightly and reads clean on wide walls
- A favorite for sliding-door and patio openings

Pleated drapery
- Tailored pinch or euro pleats for a more classic look
- Dresses richly on taller, more formal windows
- Creates a fuller, more structured stack when open

Measure & install
A track is only as good as its install.
A track has to be dead level and solidly anchored to carry drapery smoothly for years. We measure the opening, plan ceiling or wall mount and the power source, then install and program the system so it runs cleanly from the first day.

Good to know
Common questions.
How much does a motorized curtain track cost?
Cost depends on the track length, the motor and control system, and the drapery you hang from it. Wider openings and hardwired power cost more than short, battery-powered runs. After we see the space, we put together a clear quote.
How is the track powered?
Depending on the system, the motor runs on a rechargeable battery, a plug-in adapter, or hardwired power. We plan the power source during the consultation, since it affects placement, cost, and whether any wiring is needed.
Can I use my own drapery on the track?
In many cases the heading style and weight need to suit the track, so we usually prepare drapery to work with the system. We will look at what you have and tell you honestly whether it can be reused.
Do you install and program the track?
Yes. We handle consultation, measurement, mount and power planning, installation, and programming, and we set up remotes and schedules before we leave. Measurement is complementary for qualified projects.
Does the track work with smart-home systems?
Many systems do, on supported setups. Depending on the motor and controls you choose, the track can connect to apps, voice assistants, and automation hubs. We match it to what you already use where compatible.
